TMServe is a Peoples Company. As a bespoke client-centered service provider, what we do, what we are and what we can do is based on the people that make up our company and work with us. That is why we try to be the best and constantly improve ourselves, to select and work with the best in their field, to have a strong team spirit and passion with what we do, and to work very closely with our clients on a personal level. Since the demands, in volume and subject matter, are varied and we have to depend at times on trusted subcontractors that are experts in their field, we do have a small internal full-time team the main core of which is presented below:
Costas Nadalis the Founder, Major Shareholder, and General Manager of TMServe was born in Athens, Greece in 1959. He studied Math and Physics in England, and Archaeology and Computer Science in Canada (McGill University). Through the years he has participated in numerous seminars on Project Management, Sales & Marketing, and various IT topics. Nowadays, he teaches and participates in seminars, conferences and events relating to translation, localisation, project management and translation tools.
He started his carrier at ORCO S.A. in 1987 as IT Specialist and Consultant and was responsible for the IT infrastructure of the company and served as the main figure behind a number of SW development and IT-related projects and studies. He participated and carried out a series of organization and computerization studies for major clients, acquiring specialisation in the air transport organisation and IT systems.
He has been involved in the technical translation and software localisation business since 1989, initially as Project and Systems Manager for the IBM localisation projects and later on, for all major technical translation and localisation clients including Microsoft, HP and Oracle. He showed special interest in the use of Computer-Aided Translation Tools from the early 90’s and has provided technical support and training (Certified SDL Trados trainer) to Trados users since 2002. He was Head of the Translation and Localization Department and Vice President of ORCO S.A. until 2007 and a member of the Board of Directors until 2008.
Since 2008 he is offering his services as an independent technical consultant, developer and instructor to the greater translation and localization sector in Greece and abroad through his company TMServe.
He specialises in technical translation and localization-related issues, project setup, process optimization, project monitoring and control, creation and maintenance of translation memories and terminology databases with the selection and use of the most appropriate per case tools, offering technical support and consulting to TMServe clients.
He is teaching CAT tools (at ORCO S.A. and in the Master in Translation program of the Hellenic American University), translation and localization project management (at meta|φραση school of translation studies) and Machine Translation (at Dimetra Academy). He also designs and delivers ad hoc client-specific training on tools and localization topics. Costas Nadalis is a Certified SDL Trados Trainer since 2002, and a Memsource Certified Trainer since 2016.
Finally, he is designing and developing various client-specific translation-related applications for process automation, and in the areas of pre and post translation, file processing, translation QA and PM, translation memory and terminology, project creation, monitoring, accounting etc. Costas Nadalis is an SDL Beta Tester and an active developer of the SDL App Store (second prize for most downloaded free application in 2011). Kyriaki Ailamaki, co-owner of TMServe-Lexibility G.P., was born in Athens, Greece, in 1967. She studied Technical and Economics-Business Translation from English and French into Greek at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University, Greece.
She has over 34 years of expertise in technical translation and localization. She began her professional journey in 1991 at Memotek Systems S.A., where she demonstrated versatility across multiple roles including Executive Secretary, main IT workshops instructor, translator and writer of software manuals. This multifaceted foundation enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of both technical content and end-user requirements.
Subsequently, she joined Strategic International S.A., where she contributed to EU-funded research projects commissioned by DG XII, translating complex technical documentation and research exploitation guides that bridged scientific innovation with practical application.
Since 1994, Kyriaki operates as an independent language professional, delivering translation, localization, proofreading, MTPE and software testing services for major international end-clients. Her areas of specialization encompass IT, automotive, industrial machinery, telecommunications, patents documentation and medical devices—sectors demanding both technical precision and linguistic excellence.
A distinguishing aspect of her professional profile is her technological orientation. Kyriaki is an expert user of multiple CAT tools and AI systems. She has been involved in a number of MT and LLM system evaluations, prompt engineering and testing.
Kyriaki’s combination of academic credentials, extensive practical experience, and continuous technological adaptation positions her as a highly qualified professional capable of handling complex multilingual projects across diverse technical domains.
She is responsible for monitoring the company’s budget and cashflow and assists accounting and management in financial matters.
